[ It's been another long day of following Hawke around and killing the unfortunate souls who try to get in their way. And how better to finish that off then with a drink at the Hanged Man? Of course, Merrill isn't doing much drinking at the moment. She's worn out from all the magic she's been tossing around and she's dozed off in her chair, her rather slight frame slumped against Varric. She might be a bit taller than him, but she's definitely lighter. ]

admittedly, houtarou had dozed off a little himself, but that's to be expected, isn't it? he'd been told it'd be a pretty long ride, and while the bullet train itself wasn't as terrible as a bus or a regular train, he'd still felt the tell tale signs of his motion-sickness coming into play, and so he'd tried to stave it off by closing his eyes a little.. which wound up becoming something of a nap.

last he'd checked, though, he hadn't had anyone seated right beside him. but apparently sometime during his rest a girl had taken it upon herself to sit on the empty seat beside him, and she, too, had fallen into the temptation of sleep... and now she had her head resting against his shoulder. an honest mistake, really, but how does one go about this...

quietly, he clears his throat. ]

[ There's a brief moment where Lori is surprised when she suddenly feels the head fall against her shoulder, and then there's only sympathy: it was a sleep Carol so clearly deserved. Her lips press together as she stares down at her for a moment, not even beginning to comprehend what she could be going through or what her mind is like at this point. They'd all been so through much, but Carol, through everything, had lost so much. Lori wondered how she had the drive and motivation to go on, and that through out everything, even if she wasn't much of a fighter, Carol was the strongest person out of their group.

Instinctively, Lori leans her head back, blinking and staring out the window. ]

Well, this is kind of an awkward situation - Eames had tried his best to stave off jet lag by staying awake far longer than he should so he could pick up a normal circadian rhythm. But given the fact that he's not a twenty-something anymore and they were taking a train to get to the job site meant that he was lulled to sleep far earlier than he had meant to.

And it just so happened that he was listing to the side, leaning against Arthur. It wasn't long before his head was resting against the other man's shoulder.
