Koizumi had been exhausted before battling Celestials all day. Suzumiya had been having bad moods more and more lately, and closed space had been appearing and expanding at a rate never seen before.

As such, when he finally got a chance to rest for a moment - which happened to be on the public transportation, sitting next to Merida - he had simply collapsed. He fell asleep immediately, his head falling into her lap.

[Merida wasn't much one for public transit, too many people, too much crowd and --

Iiiccchhh... [She holds her hands up, staring at the fallen head in her lap, and cuts her eyes side to side.]

Oy. Wake up. [Shoulder shake.]

Normally very cheerful and courteous, Koizumi must have been past exhaustion to be in this state. He stirred when she touched his shoulder, but he did not wake up.

[Well...that didn't work. Another shake, harder this time.]

'Ey! You!

Stirring very slowly, Koizumi comes halfway back to consciousness. After a couple moments, he seems to remember where he is. Sitting up rather slowly, he finally sees the girl he'd been resting on and everything clicked into place. He quickly sat up the rest of the way, looking startled but not really embarrassed.

"Ah - my apologies. I had not intended to fall asleep on you."

Now that his eyes were open, he looked even worse. He had heavy bags under his eyes, which still looked blurred and a little bloodshot.
