the horror movie/location meme!

the horror movie/location meme
Use random.org to decide on a movie and then one of the prompts that follow. Or just choose one and play it out! Or, if you want to cover all the prompts in a movie subject, feel free! Additionally, if you want to use any of the locations provided, go ahead! If you just want to play in those settings, go right ahead!
If there's something on here that you don't see listed and you want to play it, go ahead!
01) SAW:
a) You and a friend/relative/acquaintance have woken up in a dark, dingy room and are chained together - quite literally. Will you be able to get out or is this your final moment? Better hurry up because the clock's ticking.
b) Perhaps you decided to lock this person up and test them to see if they really do appreciate their life. Will you listen to their pleas for help or just sit back and watch them suffer?
c) Congratulations! You survived your trap! Now, how has your life changed or are you still committing the same crime you were judged for months later?
02) Final Destination:
a) You have just seen your friends/loved ones die in horrific ways in the area you're at. Do you try to save who you can and be labeled as batshit or do you just accept your fate?
b) It seems like Death is claming its' victims one by one and you two are next. Do you try to outrun it, thinking you can escape Death or decide that it's your time to go?
c) Lucky you. The two of you have managed to elude Death for all this time. But, it seems like Death has other plans for you. Better watch yourself.
03) The Ring:
a) You've received a mysterious tape from a friend. Do you decide to watch it with a friend or try to destroy it? Though, a phone call will result with someone saying, "Seven days..."
b) Thought it was just a fluke? Guess again. A creepy girl starts to climb out of your TV and wants to kill you. What do you try to do?
c) You've survived! But, wait - someone's deciding to watch this very same tape! Stop them before it's too late!
04) Battle Royale:
a) You and someone else have just woke up in a strange room on the promise you're going on a vacation. And now, someone's telling you that this is a game for a television show and you're the star. You're given a weapon, but do you decide to go through with killing everyone else in this room or try to fight through the influence?
b) You've decided to go through with killing these people. After all, all you want to do is go home to your family, right? But, your best friend is your target now. What will you do?
c) Good luck on surviving the program! Or is it really the end? It seems like The Program isn't done screwing with you yet. Do you take who you can and hightail it to another country or resign yourself to another round of it?
05) The Birds:
Oh no, the birds have gone batshit! Do you try to deal with them yourself like the badass you think you are or do you take cover and hide?
06) A Nightmare on Elm's Street:
a) Last night you had the craziest dream! You were stalked through a dark boiler room by a severely burned figure with sharp knives attached to the fingers on a glove on his right hand. Your pursuer closes in and slices you, but just as he's about to do you in you woke up. But wait, why do you have cuts in your pajamas? That didn't really happen, right...? Maybe you should talk to a friend about this. Hope the same thing didn't happen to them....
b) So you've succesfully managed to pull the psycho killer out of his dream world and into reality. He's only human. Hope you have a good plan and those booby traps you and your friend set up around the house will get the job done.
c) Congrats! You survived and your friends who were all brutally murdered have magically come back to life! How do you cope with this? At least it will be safe to sleep now. Or is it...?
07) Paranormal Activity:
a) A good friend of yours recently told you that they've been haunted by some sort of presence for as long as they can remember and... it's not exactly friendly. Problem is, they just moved and they're pretty sure whatever it was has followed them to their new home. They sound pretty worried, but there's no way any of this is real, right? Maybe you should head over and set up some cameras. If anything it'll make your friend feel better and you can both get a good laugh out of it.
b) So. Something actually showed up on that tape and you've been told that this presence isn't a ghost. Oh no, it's something much worse. You've got a demon after you. It feeds off of negative energy and is intent on tormenting you no matter where you go. You probably shouldn't provoke it. Who knows what'll happen.
c) You and a friend have come across a series of tapes. They look to be home videos, amateur paranormal investigations of someone's home. What you see on them is... disturbing to say the least. Deformed shadows on the walls, doors opening and closing on their own, screeches and screams coming from something that is clearly not human. The more you watch, the worse it gets and it quickly becomes apparent that whoever filmed this is most likely dead. What do you do with this information? Do you go investigate yourself? Turn the tapes over to the police? Or maybe just write it all off, believe it's not real. It's gotta be an indie film or something, man.
08) Silent Hill:
a) You've just received a letter from a friend/sibling/parent/lover/significant other. Problem is, they're, well how to put this gently... they're kind of dead. The letter tells you to meet them in some town you've never heard of. Maybe you feel guilty, maybe you think it's some sort of sick trick and want to go punch whoever sent the letter in the face, or maybe... maybe you're just curious, but whatever your reason, you do as the letter says. Upon your arrival you run into someone who looks oddly familiar...
b) It's been hours and you're no closer to finding out the truth behind this letter than you were when you arrived. You decide to explore an abandoned hotel and as you search it you come across a videotape. You're hesitant to watch it, but this could give you more information. But... wait... is that you? And this other person... it's the one who sent you the letter. Wait. Wait. Why does it look like you're killing them?
c) Oh, crap. Pyramid Head is around the corner. Better start running!
01) Graveyard: Pretty spooky place to be at this time of night, huh? Hopefully this place isn't haunted by evil spirits or inhabited by a serial killer on the loose!
02) Mental Institution: Even with this place being abandoned, you can't help but hear the moans and screams of previous patients in these walls. Perhaps there's some deep, dark secret you can uncover here or maybe you'll also end up losing your own mind.
03) Abandoned Theme Park: Everything here is rusted completely, but you swear you can hear the screams of children on rides, among other things. Do you decide to investigate the place and try to figure out the secrets or do the sounds of kids screaming spurs something deep inside you?
04) Haunted House: Oh, boy! Let's go exploring! It seems like the wallpaper is already peeling and... what's that metallic smell coming from the basement? And what's with the doors opening and slamming closed? Hope you have a flashlight handy to make it through the night.
05) Church: Such a beautiful place, isn't it? But, are you sure you aren't hearing voices in an area where it's supposed to be quiet? Or, for that matter, are you sure you're not hallucinating seeing a god? And, it seems like the doors are closed already...
06) Random Area: You wake up in an unfamiliar location with there being no one around. The sheriff isn't in town, nor is the mayor or, quite frankly, anyone but another poor sap that woke up in this area. Hopefully you two can make it out of here alive before becoming a part of the town like the other visitors.
07) Hotel: There was nothing in sight for miles, so you and a friend decided to stop by at this rinky dink motel with the lights flickering every so often and everyone else just seeming complacent about being stuck in such a place. Perhaps there's something omnious about the bathroom's smell or what reeks in your room. At least there's HBO.
08) Zombies: Looks like popular media wasn't kidding when they said the undead would rise again in your town. Hope you have what you need to fend off the zombies and know what to do against them!

See if there's anywhere with food on that map. [ he gets up in the mean time to go and try to wash off as much of the blood as he can a little further away. ]
[ ooc: okay coolios. 8) ]
no subject
[ a pause. ] There must be supplies back in the classroom, but.
[ it's self explanatory why heading back there might not be the best idea. she looks up from the map to glance at jackson and is momentarily transfixed by
bloodied water streaming from his hands. ]
What do you think?
1/2
the sight of his hands makes him feel slightly ill the longer he stares at them and he takes a deep breath as he starts feeling his head begin to throb. now is not the time for any of the weird hallucinations he's been having and he shakes his head to himself to try and bring himself out of it. ]
no subject
What? [ he must have been transfixed on his hands longer than he thought. he puts down the empty bottle and dries his hands off -- which unknown to him, have started shifting from the pink to a more green hue ]
no subject
What I said was... [ she trails off, eyes fixated on jackson's hands which have gone from blood red, to pink, to-- ]
Jackson? [ there's a distinct note of panic in her voice. ] Your hands they're...
[ there is definitely something unnatural going on here. ]
no subject
Nothing. They're nothing. We should go.
[ he's pretty much scrambling up as quickly as he can because he can feel the familiar sensation of his fingers elongating and the skin of his arm stretching. ]
Now.
no subject
Jackson, don't make me regret trusting you. I know there's something wrong.
[ and she reaches out, clutching onto him with the fabric of his shirt. ]
Please. I could help you.
no subject
No! You think you can help me? [ his eyebrows furrow and there's that ever familiar glare on his face because here comes angry Jackson ]
You can't even help yourself, Lydia.
no subject
Jackson, why are you doing this? I understand that you must be... [ is he shaking? ] scared.
But you don't have to push me away.
1/2
Do I look scared to you? [ the truth is that as outwardly angry he is (at the change, at this stupid game they're being subjected to, at the fact that he's losing more and more control over things ever since Derek bit him), he is scared. he almost does want to push her away because as much as he's hurt Lydia, he doesn't want to do it in this way. and with the blood on his hands from earlier, there's no telling what he's become capable of. ]
no subject
You don't understand anything! Because -- [ beat ] -- it isn't me who should be scared.
no subject
What's happening to you? [ and she looks into his eyes, and she must be seeing things (she has to be) because they're reflecting gold; and that can't be right because-- this has to be some sort of nightmare.
she squeezes her eyes shut and reopens them, and jackson's still contorted in front of her, looking more reptilian every second.
it's then that his words register, she's the one who should be frightened. maybe jackson didn't murder a number of their classmates, but the creature he's turning into--
dully, it occurs to her that she should run while she still can, but it's as if she's rooted in place. ]
no subject
Lydia -- [ it's almost like Jackson's last attempt to tell her to go before whatever it is that's happening to him takes full control. it won't be long until the Kanima instincts take over ]
no subject
Please-- [ desperate. ] you have to fight it, you can, can't you?
I can't do this by myself.
no subject
in that brief moment, he springs forward and grabs Lydia by the arms. the claws aren't digging into the flesh but the way they curl around her biceps is a reminder that they easily could. he's almost unrecognizable now -- more Kanima than Jackson -- and he's breathing heavily as he draws closer. he should have paralyzed her by now and his body is tense, ready to jump into action to do just that. but having her this close is somehow working against his instincts. he can almost hear her voice; it's muffled but enough to draw back the ounce of control back. ]
Lydia, what am I -- [ he looks confused at finding himself holding her but seems somewhat more clear headed than before. of course, that might not last very long. ]
[ ooc: btw if there's anything that makes you go noooope, just let me know! ]
no subject
but the pain never comes.
he's close, grip steady on her arms, and she can feel his breath in warm puffs on her face. looking at him with watering tear-filled eyes (she's more frightened now than when they first announced the battle royale and sent their whole grade on a killing spree) she attempts to call him (jackson) back. she speaks quickly, desperation and panic both fueling her words. ]
You're turning into some sort of [ monster. ] creature, Jackson, you can't-- I need you. I need you to be with me, not some lizard.
[ ooc: we're all in the clear so far, i'm not a really squeamish person so safkdjf it shouldn't be an issue. ]
no subject
the proximity of their bodies isn't anything new to Jackson, but even when they'd been dating, (he wonders absently why that feels like ages ago from this moment), it hadn't been like this. he holds onto her though, a drowning man clinging to the last vestige of anything that will keep him from sinking, from going back into whatever the creature makes him. ]
I can't -- I don't know what is happening but. You can't stay here. [ you could get hurt. i could hurt you, goes unspoken. ]
no subject
trying to keep her voice steady: ] I'm not leaving.
[ and you can't make me, her expression clearly states; lips pulled thin in a stubborn line. ]
You're not going to hurt me. I know you won't.
[ maybe if she keeps repeating it in her head, she'll start to believe it. ]
no subject
but he's suddenly glad for this trait of hers because it's that stubbornness in her tone that's keeping him grounded for the time being. ]
How can you sound so sure about that? [ he raises a clawed finger to run along her jawline, not hard enough to pierce the skin but it's still pressed against it regardless. it would be so simple, ushers something from deep inside him but he doesn't. not yet. ]
no subject
he's hurt her before. never physically no, but there are times where she's left his presence in tears, and vowed to herself that he would be dead to her from then on, only to seek out his presence the next day.
she wonders if he knows what kind of effect he has on people, on her to be more specific. ]
Because, you're not a monster. [ she remembers his earlier reaction to the blood on his hands, to her asking if he'd killed anyone. no, jackson might be cruel at times, but he's just a teenager. and so is she. ]
no subject
no, he definitely saw himself as a monster despite her claim otherwise. the rest of his fingers slowly wrap around the side of her neck, thumb still grazing across her cheek. his expression hardens again and in the constant struggle he has going on within him, it seems like the animalistic side of him is winning this one. ]
I could kill you, right now. I could have killed someone from our grade. No -- [ anger overtakes him once more ] -- I probably did. What do you call that, Lydia? Still think I'm not a monster? [ he's close to yelling at her at this point ]
no subject
It isn't you, this isn't you. I know you don't want to hurt anyone, Jackson. I don't date homicidal maniacs.
[ maybe it isn't the best way to talk to someone who has her life in his hands, but even now, his yelling does something to provoke her.]
You could kill me now, but you won't. [ an echo of her previous words. ]
no subject
he wants to rid himself of her in hopes that this pain, this guilt will go with her. he could slash across the fragile skin of her neck, burst open the veins and let that be the end of it. but deep down, he knows that it wouldn't do anything but amplify his guilt. every time he's found himself hurting Lydia, he's walked away with a heavy heart, too full of pride to admit that he cared how he made her feel.
he lets his eyes shut slowly and forgets about the conflicting wants in his head for a second to concentrate on her voice. ]
What if I can't help it? [ his voice is barely above a murmur when he speaks. he's pulled somewhat of a flip mood wise because no matter how much he wouldn't want to kill anyone, this is the question that lingers. wanting something to not happen doesn't prevent it. ]
no subject
what she doesn't understand has always scared her.
his question registers, and for once she's speechless. if he can't help it that means she'll die here, in this clearing, with her throat cut and alone except for jackson (her killer). it's not fair, she's too young to die, and there are so many things she hasn't done--
when they first announced the rules for the battle royale she had never planned on winning, and maybe she has been expecting this since the moment she ran from the hall where her classmates were killing each other.
she moves before she says anything; raising a shaking hand she reaches up and brushes her knuckles along jackson's scaled jawline in an imitation of his own gesture. ]
You could win this, Jackson. You could go home.
[ she's not giving him permission, never, but: ] I'd rather know that you got out of here than anyone else.
no subject
Home. the mere thought of being back in Beacon Hills sounds foreign. he imagines being able to just go back to his normal life -- no werewolves, no crazy games, no more killing. he could go back to pretending to be the self-obsessed jock whose only worry was showing up to lacrosse practice on time. would that still be possible? who knew how many of his team members were now dead?
her hands are warm on his scale covered features and his body seems to absorb that heat immediately. he leans into the touch, smooth scales sliding easily in her palm until his head is tilted to the side. he opens his eyes then, sensing her concession to her fate.
his one claw tightens around her as the other reaches to take hold of her arm. it really would be effortless, yet... ]
